What is an Adjustment?
A Chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which Chiropractors use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to remove subluxations and improve the communication between your brain and the rest of your body so your body can heal and function the way it was designed to.
There are a variety of techniques to adjust the spine. Depending on the individual and what is going on with them, an appropriate technique or techniques will be chosen.
ADJUSTMENTS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO DRUGS AND SURGERY
Addressing spinal decay using pain-relieving drug therapy targets the symptom instead of “the source” of the problem. This approach covers-up the problem without correcting it, while exposing you to potentially dangerous and even deadly side effects.
Surgery is a very risky process carrying all the risks associated with surgical anesthesia and infection. Even worse, success rates for back surgeries are very low, resulting in scars and permanent damage.
Chiropractic procedures offer smarter and safer solutions to improve spinal function and reduce nerve interference so that the body is able to heal itself.
During a chiropractic checkup we evaluate your ranges of motion, and use X-ray and thermal-imaging technology to pinpoint the exact location of any Subluxations. With a “blueprint” of your spines current alignment, we can then determine the course of Chiropractic care that will bring you the fastest and most preferred results.
